DIY play dough with NO cream of tarter!

Spread the love

I’ve been trying to stay as busy as possible this summer. Things look a lot different this year. We can only swim so much!

Since my kids are obsessed with play dough so I thought why not have them do some DIY play dough? Something hands on, easy & you probably have all the things needed in your house already!

THINGS YOU NEED

HOW TO MAKE

It’s so easy to make! Get creative! You can even do a scent if you’d like it to smell. Do different scents and have your children guess the fruit, etc.

You can add glitter or whatever else also! Let your kids have fun!

1. Start by placing 1 cup of flour in a mixing bowl

2. Add 1/4 cup of salt

3. 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil

4. Mix all of that together well!

5. Mix 3/4 cup of water and food coloring in a separate bowl

6. Add the water/food coloring in the bowl with the rest of the stuff.

Keep on mixing! Sometimes you’ll need to add more flour so it’s not so sticky! I added almost 2 cups of flour.

Redo with each color you want to make! We made 3!

Once we were done playing we put them in bags and put in fridge. You can keep in fridge for 2 weeks.

I’ve connected with some amazing Bloggers to share some Summer themed blogs with you. Head to each of their blogs to check out what they are sharing.
