Spread the love

Did you know they have a national chocolate chip cookie day? How cool! I love fresh soft chocolate chip cookies with some ice cream. My husband could actually eat it everyday of his life if you let him. I love to bake and cookies are one of my favorites!

So, today I’m sharing a recipe from Joanna Gaines cookbook! It’s my favorite cookie recipe and I know you’ll love it also!

WHAT YOU NEED

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside.

3. In a stand mixer (kitchen aid) or bowl with handheld whisk, mix together butter and sugar until light and fluffy (2 to 3 minutes) Add the eggs, beat until blended. Add the sugar, beat until blended.

4. Turn mixer off and add flour. Mix on medium until flour is mixed in, then turn it on high for a few seconds to form the dough. It will be chunky.

5. Mix the chocolate chips in and beat on high for 5 seconds to mix the chocolate chips in quickly.

6. Drop by large spoonfuls on the parchment paper. Do not flatten them. Bake until lightly browned. (10 minutes or so) Cool on rack for 1 minute. Repeat with remaining dough.

7. Store in tightly covered container for 3 days. Room temperature!
