The Best Stocking Stuffers for Kids and A DIY name tag
December 9, 2020
Spread the love
Basically everyone in the world does stockings. I always tend to have some troubles finding the right stocking stuffers for my kids. I don’t wanna put to many things but I also love waking up in the morning and seeing those faces light up in the morning when they see how full the stockings are on top of the presents under the tree.
Today, I’m sharing just the right amount of stockings for my kiddos. My son loves chocolate so I put a little more in his. My daughter is currently all about poppy. (trolls) So I found some adorable little knick knack things to put in the stockings. I found everything at Walmart, Dollar Tree & Target Dollar Spot! All super cheap but super cute!
I’ll be sharing where I found them and what it is and how I made these simple tags for our stockings. I was going to do wood rounds but I decided to go with these. I liked how simple and so easy it was to make these!
What I put in the Stockings!
Target
Adorable Christmas Books
Carry along mickey and trolls activity books
Unicorn necklace making kit
Reese’s pieces carrot bags
Dollar Tree
Cars for DJ.
Poppy key chain
Dj’s mickey mouse sticker book
Walmart
Milk Duds
Blue Raspberry Candy canes
Pez dispensers (all 4)
bubble gum
m&m’s
Santa clause chocolates
mini candy canes
trolls markers
I promise it looks like a lot but it’s not. It’s a lot of chocolate cause why not splurge for the holidays? I think out of all of it, I love the books the most! They are so cute and so perfect for the kids. Aubrey is just learning to read so it’s the perfect starter books for her to read to herself and her brother.
I love shopping at dollar spots because it’s all stuff they’ll forget about when they start opening up the presents under the tree.
DIY name tags!
I also decided to make our name tags for our stockings because I wasn’t liking the thought of putting our names on the stockings. It was seriously so easy.
What you need to make the DIY stocking tags.
Cricut maker (or explore air 2 will work as well)
Blank name tags from Michaels.
String or twine
Vinyl
Weeder tool
Scissors
Transfer tape
How to make.
First you want to find a font you like on design space.
Next type out all your names in that font.
Get your Vinyl cut and put on mat.
Size your wording to fit the name tags.
I went about 3 inches long
Turn on cricut machine and start cutting those names out
Weed out the access pieces
I cut around each name to make it easier to use the transfer tape and place it where I wanted.
Get transfer tape and cut 4 small pieces.
Once you are done weeding you just put the transfer tape over the top of it and use your scraper tool to make sure the vinyl is sticking to the transfer tape.
Place transfer tape where you want the name to lay on the name tag
Push down and use the scraper tool to get it onto the name tag, then pull transfer tape off.
Grab your cut string and tie it onto the loop of the stocking!
Now you have some special DIY name tags!
Thank you so much for reading my blog! I feel like kids can be pretty difficult when it comes to stockings so I hope this helped you! If you make your own DIY name tags I’d love to see them!
