Spread the love

We all know being an adult comes with a lot of stress, a lot of responsibility and a lot of chaos. I’ve learned over the years little things to help me feel less stress and to reduce my anxiety. I’m such a clean freak and I can’t stand a messy house but with two kids, dogs, a husband who works a ton and me being a full time blogger/content creator, it’s not always ideal to have a spotless house. So I do my best to remember to do little things so I’m not as stressed later on. I have even struggled with PPD AND PPA so I get looking at the house at the end of the day and just feeling completely defeated. I get it mama and you aren’t alone.

I know a lot of others are the same way. So, I’ve put together a blog for you and even included a free printable to help you stay a little more organized and reduce your stress/anxiety. Make sure to read it all, I promise it’s a life savor and you don’t wanna miss the free printable. Print it off and hang it on your fridge to give yourself that reminder, that push you need!

Start The Morning Right.

As soon as you wake up, make your bed. It sounds crazy but this promotes productivity throughout the day and will pave the way to an organized day/life. TIP* teach your kids at an early age to make there own beds as well. It’s so worth it to get into a nice made bed in the evening.

Get You Some Coffee Girl.

Then, first things first, don’t overwhelm yourself right when you wake up. Sit down enjoy a cup of coffee and write a to-do list. Don’t overdo. Just write down a few things you know you can handle. This way you aren’t feeling overwhelmed and lost during the day not knowing what to do next. This always helps me!

That Dang Laundry.

Ok, I’m so guilty of doing this. Anyone else do the laundry and let it sit in the basket or dryer for days? Yeah me… I’ve noticed by doing the laundry right away, as soon as it comes out of the dryer it makes me feel 100% better. Makes me feel accomplished cause we all know how annoying laundry can be. Wash, Dry, Fold, Put away. Repeat with me. Wash, Dry, Fold, Put away. You’ve got this girl.

Clean One Room.

It can be your room, your kids, office, playroom kitchen whatever room it is, Just clean one room. No need to stress yourself out and clean every single room every single day. Just breathe and take it one day at a time.

Empty Those Pockets/Bags

Those bags, pockets, coats, etc. Whatever you have that day, empty it before bed. Otherwise it’ll be cluttered, it’ll be messy. You’ll be in a rush and have to clean it out because you didn’t do it the night before. I know it seems small but Just do it and thank me later.

The Kitchen.

The one room I always clean before I go to bed is my kitchen. I’m not sure why but just something about having a clean kitchen when I wake up makes me feel so good. Even just a few plates and bowls will make your entire kitchen look messy, unorganized and cluttered. Take a few minutes to clean those dishes and wipe down those counters. It’ll make you feel 10x better.

Plan The Next Day.

Always plan out your next day in your head. Just do a run through of what you need to do. Appointments? Store? Returns? Laundry? Etc. It’ll help you want to get up and get going in the morning. You’ll feel so much more ready and when you wake up you’ll already know what to put on your list for the day.

Last But Not Least.

PUT THINGS BACK! You took out some receipts or bills? Make sure to put them back in the correct spot. Don’t set it down somewhere and create clutter. I promise it makes a difference.

That’s it! These simple yet super needed tips will help you feel less anxiety and reduce that stress in your life. They may not seem like a lot but they make such a difference in my everyday life and they will yours also. Don’t overwhelm yourself. Don’t create more stress for yourself. By doing these simple things you’ll feel more accomplished and motivated at the end of each day.

Okay, your house is totally goals and I love the color scheme. I think the simplicity and minimalist aspect has a lot to do with maintaining a uncluttered house.

  3. I love the tip to make your bed right away. Sometimes I prioritize the coffee, but I agree if you make your bed as soon as you wake up, it sets the stage for productivity throughout rest of the day. Thanks!
