Bourbon Teriyaki Chicken

Spread the love

So I’m definitely not the best chef around, we can all agree on that. One thing my kids are absolutely obsessed with is my teriyaki chicken, rice and broccoli. It’s so easy and my kids devour it every single time. I get a lot of dm’s on instagram about my chicken and how I make it, So I figured I would do a blog on it!

Ingredients you need!

Package of chicken (depending on family size)

1 bag of Broccoli (you can use fresh brocolli but I use birds eye frozen, it tastes fresh)

White rice. (I use the 5 minute rice cause you know non chef over here)

Teriyaki Sauce. (You can really use any brand)

Mccormick seasoning, brown sugar bourbon & smokehouse maple.

How to make it.

Depending on the day, I sometimes will marinate the chicken in the sauce and seasonings but this time I didn’t.

Get chicken out and put on stove, pour some sauce over the top and load on the seasonings.

Flip about every 5 minutes. I like mine to have a little crisp to it.

I prepare the rice while cooking the chicken on medium.

1 cup hot water, let it get to a boil.

Once boiled, pour rice in & put a plate over it to keep heat in! Let sit 5 or so minutes.

Throw the broccoli in the microwave for 6 minutes.

& once chicken is cooked thoroughly, serve and enjoy!

It’s so simple, easy and pretty cheap actually. My kids are obsessed and ask for it about once a week. Let me know in the comments below if you try it and how you liked it!
