When I was a kid, I always envisioned being married to a wonderful man and having children. I always knew I wanted to be a mom but I was terrified of that coming true.
When I was a kid, I didn’t have a dad. I mean I did, everyone does but he wasn’t in my life and at that time I felt as though I didn’t deserve a dad.
When I got pregnant with my first, It was always in the back of my head that one day me and my husband would split and he wouldn’t want anything to do with my daughter.. I was only 17 and didn’t really believe in Love much.
As we grew, I knew that I for one couldn’t live without him and two he wouldn’t ever do that.
Dom is most loving, caring, faithful, and passionate father. He always there to kiss away their boo boo’s. He’s always there to comfort them when they have nightmares, he’s always there for every first and he’s always cheering them on.
I couldn’t have picked a better father to raise these beautiful kids. Seeing them together makes me melt, I’m so thankful and so blessed because not everyone has that. I didn’t and boy do I wish I did. I wish I had a father growing up but that makes watching Dom with our babies even more special.
Honestly, Dom is just incredible, the way he loves them makes me love him even more. Even when they push him to his core he’s still so gentle and so loving and that means the world to me.
I celebrate him everyday, I thank God for him everyday but every year on Father’s Day, I pray a little harder. I thank God for giving me such an amazing person to grow old with and watch our babies grow up.
Because of him, I’ll never have to worry about my kids not having a father, He’ll always be there, putting on band-aids, wiping away tears, laughing, and for that I’m so grateful.
This year for Father’s Day (and his birthday since its 3 days before I got him a huge safe, some knives (he’s a chef if you didn’t know) and lots of love.

I’m totally crying over here! This is such a sweet story! I also didn’t grow up with my “dad” – & he’s still not in my life. I’ve made sure to do everything I can to keep Jolene’s dad in her life & luckily he’s a pretty fantastic dad!
