We had the opportunity to go down to Dewey, Arizona to Mortimer Farms. We’ve never been but heard such amazing things about it. My husband got the day off work and we headed down! It was WELL worth the trip.
Nothing seems “normal” anymore. Everywhere you go, masks, extra sanitizing, (which I understand) but at Mortimer Farms we weren’t required to wear a mask. I mean, BLESS IT. Aubrey just kept saying how excited she was to NOT have to wear one. We started by checking in, (definitely recommend buying tickets online). We got in super fast and just started exploring.
I’m telling you, All of the things to do, I was blown away. We got there at 10:30 AM and didn’t leave until almost 5pm and I still felt like we had so much to see and experience.
We went to the corn maze first and Aubrey and her best friend Annabelle got us lost. (so much fun though) DJ then wanted to eat the raw corn so we went and found a vendor with some roasted sweet corn & OH MY HEAVENS. It was so good.
Then, we took the kids to the u-pick strawberry field and had a blast. we went walking around, the kids got to jump on the huge pumpkin jump, then went on the hay mountain. We grabbed some food and sat down for a bit to enjoy it. We then got to exploring again!
When I say they have so much to do, I really mean it. They have their Pumpkin Fest & Corn Maze, A Country Store, A u-pick strawberry field, blackberries, watermelon, tomatoes, and more. It was probably DJ’S favorite part. He is so obsessed with strawberries.
Mortimer even has farm-inspired rides, Ropes Course, Buckaroo Pony, redneck Swing, Buckin’ Bull Pipe Swings, Tire Sandpit, Pillow Pad, ziplines, and corn maze You will also enjoy tetherball, animals, peddle cart race track, giant race slides, farm to table food, and field roller races! On the weekends they even have fire dancers, karaoke, barn dances, mini dog races, pig races, and navigating through the corn maze in the dark!
Seriously so many food options, I mean tons and it was all so delicious!! Enjoy foods from Windmill Kitchen, Grandma’s Crepes and More, My Grandma’s Kitchen and Bakery, Fresh Pressed Fall Cider, Roasted Sweet Corn, and the Country Store Deli.
We did so much in the 6 hours we were there and I didn’t want to leave. The kids had such a blast, they got pumpkins, strawberries, lots of cotton candy and the best part was they wouldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had! We will definitely be going back every year. No matter where you live in Arizona, take a trip down to Mortimer Farms. I promise you won’t regret it.
