Ok so i’ve already done one blog on pinterest and so many people loved it and grew so much! I’ve been using pinterest for a long time but really didn’t start “using pinterest” until I got serious with my blog. Since my last blog about pinterest, i’ve learned a lot more and I’m back to share more tips on Pinterest. I’m going to touch on some that I posted in my previous blog but I have some new tips that will help you sky rocket! Check out my previous blog on pinterest HERE.
I previously mentioned making sure your boards have simple names but to the point. You want your boards to have names that people search for. If you do that, you’ll likely come up when someone searches that.
Having atleast 100 pins on each board is so important. This will help you pull up when people search you. If you have a board with 2 pins, it likely won’t show up.
You want to have a simple but to the point description of each boards. This also helps people when they search for specific things.
You want to be pinning a little bit throughout the day. I try to pin to boards that I haven’t pinned to in awhile. It brings them back to top and shows it to more people.
I easily get 20k views to my blog a month from pinterest alone. This is especially great since I blog a ton and I even do quite a few of sponsored ones. It ensures that it gets seen and people like the content so they are clicking and even subscribing. This can help get your blog booming as well.
*by making your own pins, I mean uploading your own images, pinterest pins (you can make some really cute ones on canva for free) Take a look at my Pinterest for inspo.
You don’t want your pinterest to be messy and all over the place. People like clean and controlled pinterest boards and pins. So stay with your own vibe. It’s totally okay to have different boards like farmhouse, boho, modern, etc but try to stay within your vibe.
You want to look at your analytics to see when the best time to pin is. It can vary from user to user so look at that and try to pin when your best time is. (mine is nighttime)
So I recently figured out you can definitely make multiple pins for your blogs but you want to switch the title. Title being on pinterest, not your blog itself. If you keep posting the same one it’ll not be shown to viewers because it’ll mark you as spam.
You want to pin things that people are pinning but not exactly the same. So obviously it’s thanksgiving and christmas time so you want to be pinning those kind of things, as well as home decor (people will always love home decor)
On your home screen of pinterest you have the option to swipe over and see your recently pinned boards. When you click it, it shows you relevant pins as well, you can just easily click the + and pin over 100 in 5 minutes or less. You can also go to your profile and go to all boards, click a board and then swipe over to see more ideas and do the same thing! You can seriously pin so much in so little time. It’s a great tip I learned and shared with a bunch of my friends already.
Ok sis, none of us do. We make do with what we can. We do our best. A huge tip is to use unsplash. It’s a great site that has FREE images you can use. Take advantage and use those images to make pins, to pin to boards, etc.
& that’s it! Pinterest is very tricky, with all the updates they do it’s hard to keep up! These tiny tips helped me go from 1m to 15m. I took a little break and I’ve been steady at 8.8m and still getting tons of link clicks. Take your time and you’ll see the results you want!
Xoxo until next time, Cheyenne.

Love all of these tips and definitely going to be putting them to use. Especially that Unsplash app!
