Well breastmilk is a powerful thing. I wasn’t able to breastfeed my first daughter over 8 years ago, so when I had my son I was determined to do whatever to do it that time around. I was young with my daughter and had zero support, nor any knowledge on it like I do now.

I breastfed my son until my 3rd baby was born in October. Then I tandem nursed until around his 4th birthday. I never ever expected to go that long but I just let him wean himself. Well he did just that when my youngest daughter was 3 months old. Breastmilk has so many amazing benefits. It’s truly a miracle liquid. It’s packed full of antibodies and nutrients.

Is breastmilk really good for your skin?

Yes, Absolutely. The nutrients in breastmilk can be healthy for your skin. Not only does breast milk heal minor skin irritations such as rash, pink eye, diaper rash, eczema and more but it’s also a great moisture for dry skin. It’s really a miracle lotion that can be used by the entire household. Breast milk is good in itself but adding grape seed oil coconut oil and beeswax makes it even more beneficial.

Breastmilk by itself is very thin ofcourse and hard to apply to skin, etc, so by making it a lotion and adding some benefits to it, it’s also easier to apply. It’s much thicker and it’s really like any lotion you can buy at the store but so many more benefits.

Ok, Sold. So, How Do I Make Breast Milk Lotion?

Breastmilk lotion is so easy to make! It took me about 10 minutes and I was done. That’s even with a very needy teething baby. I did a batch with grape seed oil and a batch with coconut oil. The grape seed came out green and the coconut oil came out white. I didn’t notice a huge difference but the coconut oil was definitely harder than the grape seed oil. Both worked great!
