4 cupsflour
1/2tbssalt
1 tbsbaking soda
3/4cupsoftened butter
1cupsugar
1largeegg
1/2tspalmond extract

Combine 2 1/2 cups of flour 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking soda, set aside.
in mixer bowl, combine 3/4 c softened butter and 1 cup sugar until fluffy. (3 minutes or so)
Add 1/2 tsp. almond extract and 1 large egg. Beat to combine
Gradually add flour mixture and mix until blended. (5-6 minutes)
Gather dough into ball, flatten into round disk. Wrap and then refrigerate 2 hours or up to 2 days.
Once you've refrigerated roll out dough on floured surface, cut out cookies with cookie cutters and bake 6 minutes on 350 degrees F. (or longer depending how soft or hard you want them) Let cool before decorating.
split up the glaze and add food coloring as desired
you can add these to bags or if you have icing bags that's perfect as well!
Notes
** I basically just eye ball this to get it to the consistency I want! I like it a little thicker so I add more powdered sugar as needed.
So easy and so fun! Once you bake cookies and let cool, onto the decorating. I normally buy some fun edible spooky decorations at party city along with some sprinkles.
For the icing, I just make a ton and split it up between bowls and add food coloring to make it extra fun for the kids!
It’s such a fun thing to do with the kids. Especially since this year is booooo-shit with covid and all! (excuse my language sorry)
Why not make the best of it? Make a mess, have fun and just enjoy this crazy time!
Have a SpookTacular Day Ghoul Friends.
