Can you even believe we’re already talking about back to school? I sure can’t! We’ve had the best summer and I’m sad its ending but also kind of excited she’s going back to school because she needs it!

This year since I have a Cricut I decided to do a DIY backpack, folders, pencil bag & even a cute customized Starbucks cup for her new teacher! On the blog today I’m going to be sharing exactly what I used and how to do it! It’s really simple and perfect for a beginner!

Let’s start off with what you need to get this going!

Supplies

How To Make

So I basically just started by gathering all my materials.

Then, I got on design space and got to being creative.

I knew I wanted to just do her name on some stuff and then the cup I wanted to do it simple but yet cute. So I came up with some pencils, scissors and inspiring words. I made sure to size them correctly and color code them which makes it so much easier when you are cutting everything out. (Especially since I did Iron on and Vinyl!)

I cut out the sizes I needed for each color.

Then my machine got to work (it really does most of the work for you which I love!)

***Remember to MIRROR YOUR IMAGE FOR IRON ON + PLACE SHINY SIDE DOWN!***

Once everything is cut out then you weed it all out. The sunflower was a bit time consuming to weed but it was so worth it!! Make sure not to forget the little tiny pieces.

Once you’ve got all your pieces weeded out, you grab your transfer tape and transfer the vinyl to the transfer tape and then to your cup (or whatever you’re putting it on)

Next up is iron on, for this you don’t need any transfer tape. Just turn on your easy press, let it heat up & then place design where you want and press!

Now you’re done & you have personalized your kid/kids back to school stuff thanks to Cricut!

Xoxo until next time, Cheyenne.
